Eunoia Story

We selected the name Eunoia because of the meaning associated with the word. Eunoia comes from the greek word εὔνοια; in rhetoric it is the goodwill by being friendly or helpful, between the speaker and the audience, and in having a good mental health that can be translated to a well mind and beautiful thinking. We believe that leadership is about having the power to activate people with a beautiful mind that can truly create the right space for the right people to be engaged in a sustainable common area, towards achieving a long lasting success, and delivering a unique value.
Our journey started with experience in the field of leadership and organization development, by learning and applying the scientific theories that are commonly used. However, after several years of reviewing and studying data collected from thousands of participants in different cultures, we realized that the extreme focus on developing the behavioral skills without taking the proper consideration of other factors beyond the displayed skills limits the leadership quality, and limits the ROI to the degree that makes many companies cut off the budget for development. “The skills learned in leadership and other human development programs can be well-connected to the competencies needed in actual practices!” In an accelerated complexity world, there is still an extreme focus on behavioral skills, that is not clearly connected to the expected value-added or value-gained from using these skills. As an example, one of our research topics concluded that “Participants acquire the knowledge and skills in the development programs and workshops, but they do not apply it in real life when they need to!” The leadership is too sophisticated to size it in some behavioral competencies. It should be carefully approached with a clear understanding of the impact that the development makes on leaders, on their people, their companies, and the business performance.
New trends always pop up in the leadership development field, and many companies just respond by teaching leaders the skills needed in the current situation. This quick fix comes at the expense of the core of leadership itself. The leadership development is supposed to increase the leadership capacity in adding a well perceived value for all the stakeholders. Over the years, we gained intensive hands-on experience in sustainability, leadership development, organizational behavior and culture, associated with using different assessment tools and methodologies.
Slow thinking matters! We consciously moved out of the comfort zone of the fast thinking where we interpret all cases according to what we already know from our learned scientific theories and expertise, into careful analysis of the data collected along the years. This move to slow thinking allowed us to let the data reveal new realizations and opened up our intuitive thinking to new horizons. The model has been developed, and through several modifications we became unique in to delivering the best solution customized for each single case in the last 18 years, Now, we work together with different business and government organizations in different industries, in different areas all over the world. The model is perceived as a reliable approach with a high degree of assessment accuracy that provides practical and applicable solutions.
